The Chattogram leg of sixth ISPI Inter School Six-a-Side Football Tournament got underway at the CRB Field in the port-city on Tuesday with the participation of 12 teams.
This is the first time that the popular school tournament is being held in two parts with Chattogram hosting its maiden edition prior to the Dhaka leg, scheduled from April 15 to April 19.
A total of 24 schools are expected to join the Dhaka part of the tournament at the Bangladesh Handball Federation Indoor Stadium.
On the opening day of the Chattagram phase, a total of 15 Group A matches were completed with Raozan Salamat Ullah High School winning three games and drawing two followed by BN School & College and AL Khan high school, who both won three games and lost one and drew one.
Bangladesh Railway Station Colony High School won one, drew three and lost one match while CDA Public School & College drew twice and lost three times.
Collegiate School Chittagong was the only side to lose their all five matches.
